About Me

Hi! My names Arielle. Most people call me Ari. I am currently a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin-Madison majoring in Journalism and Mass Communication. I am from Long Island, New York. Though my home is obviously in New York, I have truly enjoyed these past 2 years here in Madison. It is an amazing college town and I continue to be inspired and intrigued by all it has to offer.

My mom and dad are arguably my biggest fans. My brother Taylor, 21, is studying at Washington University. My sister Chelsea, 13, is studying nothing at the moment.

I am an avid online media user but still read the traditional print newspaper every day. I am a true believer in the quote “You only live once.” That is probably why my friends and family call me happy-go-lucky. Life is too short to dwell on the past and be full of regrets. I do not want to be 100 and look back at my life and name all these things I should have done.

I am interested in too many things and wish I could quadruple-major. I am an over-achiever in every sense of the word. I try to fit too many things into one day, even for one lifetime. But hey, why not reach for the stars?

This blog is a reflection of who I am and what I believe in. Basically, it is a collection of my thoughts, ideas, and opinions. And trust me, I have a lot. I am not only very talkative but I am weird and tend to say what’s on my mind at all times, even when it may not be appropriate. I will generally be talking about media-related things, but I don’t doubt that I will digress at times. This blog doesn’t really have a direction, but like anything in life, it will find its way.
